AEJMC Network services

We want everyone in the network to get along, to be good neighbors, and to serve the good of the larger organization. To this end, we provide some services that will benefit the entire family.

E-mail form

In one of the pointers documents, I suggest you ought not put anywhere in your Web site a readable e-mail address. But you want people to have a way to get hold of you. One way to do this is to place a form on your site that uses server-side scripting to send messages to someone in your organization – a form like the "Contact Gramps" form. Not a lot of AEJMC officers do server-side scripting, so Gramps will take care of you, if you wish. Just drop a note asking for the form pages.

Officer database

Another way to get around the readable e-mail address issue is to keep e-mail addresses firmly locked up in a database. This way, the only way addreses get displayed on the screen is the direct result of a query. Spam bots as a rule do not create queries. And for those few that do, there are strategies you can take to make life more difficult for the spam bots. Again, if you'd like to plunk your officer list into a database in such a way that people can get the information and spam bots do not, just contact Gramps for some assistance.

Other help

You need something else? Maybe Gramps can help. Won't hurt to ask.
