Another academic year has begun and the International Communication Division is ready to jump into an exciting year ahead! First, we will be continuing our efforts to improve our communication with our members. This will be done using various platforms – from the website to emails to social media. We want to talk with you and hear from you! Contact us anytime. Second, we will be reaching out to our membership this year in an effort to get to know you more and what you would like to see improved and enhanced in the division. We will also be finding new ways to invite people to join our membership. Third, we will be doing some exciting activities throughout the coming year for our membership – this includes some exclusive, live online chats and moderated discussions with International Communication experts. We will also be publishing two issues of our newsletter this year. One issue will come out in the fall and the other in the spring. Please email me any ideas or news you would like to share in the newsletter. We have many other ideas planned for the year – stay tuned! Finally, we will be involved in two conferences this year – the AEJMC Mid-winter conference in Oklahoma and the annual AEJMC Convention in St. Louis, Missouri. Please consider submitting papers and/or serving as paper reviewers for these conferences. A calendar of important dates for our membership (call for papers, panel proposals, etc.) will be announced soon on the website, Facebook and sent to your email box in the coming weeks ahead. I am looking forward to an exciting, innovative and productive year for our division!
