Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When I submitted my manuscript, I was told to wait 8-10 weeks to receive a decision. Its been almost that long, and I am getting anxious to hear the decision. Can I contact JPRR to expedite the decision process?

A: We update our files at least once a week, and one priority is getting decisions to authors in a timely fashion. That being said, sometimes it takes more than 8 to 10 weeks to complete a final decision. We work with reviewers, authors, and deadlines to keep the review process running as efficiently and smoothly as possible for all parties.

Q: What measures can I take to ensure that I do not breach confidentiality in my manuscript?

A: Make sure that you do not include your name or research affiliation on any page within the manuscript. Make special checks in the methods section as well as in the footnotes and appendices for references to any participants, grants, samples, and/or reflexivity/transparency information about the authors, as these are areas where identification information may be revealed. If you are still in doubt, please contact the editor.

Q: Are book reviews and commentaries published in JPRR?

A: No. JPRR is designated exclusively for original research and comprehensive reviews that contribute to the theoretical body of knowledge in public relations. If you have questions about the editorial scope, please contact the editor.
